Zach's last day of swimming

Zach was still sick on Monday, but he was better by Tuesday. Thursday Meg got sick though. We got her on amoxocillin and she was feeling better in no time.

Friday night Grandpa Goellner came up for a visit. We went out for dinner and then Elizabeth went out for a 'girls night out' while Meg and the boys watched a movie at home.

Saturday we had Meg and Zach's last Saturday swim lesson. Zach did great in swimming, we'll have to look for more sessions this summer. Meg will continue with her Wednesday classes, and soccer will start filling our Saturday mornings soon.

Sunday we went to see a children's show at Navy Pier. The show was great and it was a beautiful day to walk around. We had a great time this weekend.

Sick Zach

Friday morning I got a call from daycare saying that Zach was running a 103 fever. Saturday morning he was still sick so we took him to the doctor while Meg went to swimming. He tested positive for strep throat so we were glad we went. We started putting medicine in him right away but he was too contagious to get to go anywhere Saturday or Sunday.

Meg still had a busy weekend. Friday night Meg and Mom met some friends at an Irish pub after dinner. Saturday night we went to our friends the Nash's for a little St. Pat's party. Sunday we went to Mass in the morning and then she took went with Dad on some errands.

He seems to be feeling better now, but I still haven't decided if he is ready for school Monday, we'll see.

Have a Happy Valentne's Day

This weekend we had some special visitors, Grandma and Grandpa McLean. They came to swimming lessons on Saturday and then we checked out the Downers Grove Ice Sculpture Festival.

Sunday we got up early to get bagels at Panera and then we showed them around the Morton Arboretum.

The big news this week is that Zach is now in underwear. He is very proud to be a big boy. He is doing pretty well. Hopefully, we'll be done having accidents in a few weeks.

The kids are looking forward to their Valentine's Day parties at school on Wednesday.

Bear Down, Chicago Bears!

IMG_0623.JPGSorry we've been so bad at taking pictures lately. I just got these from one of our friends who was at the party with us.

We had a great weekend. Saturday Zach and Meg had swim lessons. Then we had 2 birthday parties to go to. One for Meg's class and then one for Zach's class.

Sunday we went to a playoff party and watched the Bears win. It was a very nice party with lots of the kids from Meg's class. All of the kids played in the basement while the adults watched the game. Then we went home and watched the Colts pull out a victory.

I still can't get over that it will be a Bears/Colts Superbowl!!!
