Party Weekend...

We had a crazy weekend.
-Friday I worked the St. Cletus Golf Outing and then Chris joined for dinner and drinks.
-Saturday morning Grandma Chris and Uncle Bobby arrived. After lunch we went to the pool.
-Saturday afternoon we went to a Cubs/Sox Party.
-Saturday night we went to my boss' daughters wedding reception at the Beverly Country Club
-Sunday after Mass and breakfast we said goodbye to Grandma Chris and Uncle Bobby and then we relaxed at the pool.

Father's Day Geocache

Sunday morning the kids woke up bright and early to give Chris the gifts they had made for him. We had breakfast at Blueberry Hill and then did a Geocache at a park in Hinsdale. Zach finally got a hair cut and then we went swimming. After swimming we stopped by Geppetto's Toy Box in Oak Park so Zach could use some of his birthday money to pick out a present. He chose a spy gear watch. For dinner we picked up a Lou Malnati's Pizza and watched Return on the Jedi.

Dinosaurs Alive at the Zoo

Saturday morning we took the neighbors to the Zoo. We hadn't seen the new Dinosaurs Alive exhibit yet and it was the perfect day to check it out. The dinosaurs were huge. They all moved and roared as you walked by. The kids loved that they could control some of the dinosaurs. We toured about half of the Zoo and then did lunch at Culvers.

Night at Ravinia

Saturday night we went to see the BoDeans at Ravinia. We got lucky and the rain stopped around 3pm. It was a little chilly, but the kids were still up for ice cream treats.

The whole family had a great time!

Blue Man Group

Zach loved seeing Blue Man group on Sunday. He had been asking to go for 2 years, but you have to be 5 years old. So that's what Zach got for his 5th birthday. Unfortunately, he refused to stand next to one of them for a picture after the show. Pictured here is Meg with our friends Johnny and Charlie.

Zach's 5th Birthday Party

-Friday Grandma Chris took care of the kids as it was the last day of school.
-Saturday Uncle Bobby and Josh drove up to watch the kids soccer games and celebrate Zach's birthday. The kids had a great time on the jumper we borrowed from a friend. That evening our neighbors joined us for dinner and dessert. Zach fell asleep after dinner, but was happy to get up to open his presents.

End of Spring Soccer

Saturday was the last day of AYSO spring soccer. The kids were excited to have a fan club cheering them on. Meg has really taken off in soccer this year and Zach loved his first year of soccer, scoring 2-7 goals at each game.

Perfect Zach Quote

Tonight we did an impromptu pizza and a movie night with some Lou Malnatis and Hotel for Dogs. During the standard tear jerker part Meg was full of tears on the couch mean while Zach just kept say,

"My eyes keep watering!"

Gotta love that little guy.

Pet Parade 2009

Saturday we walked with St. Cletus School in the LaGrange Pet Parade. Zach loved that he got to ride in the Pricipal's jeep. The theme was Stars on Parade so we brought star beads, sunglasses and other fun stuff to give out to the kids. We also ordered Cardinal temporary tattoos for the kids. It was alot of fun.
