Opa! Gotta love flaming cheese

Last night the family took out our neighbors Gene and Dale for a nice greek dinner at Costas in Oak Brook Terrace. The big thing a the greek restaurants in Chicago is the Saganaki. The kids practiced and were ready when the moment came to yell, "Opa!"
Meg wasn't a big fan of the cheese but Zach has found a new favorite.

Flying High Fun!

This weekend the fam went to the open gym at Flying high and got our tumble on. Everyone joined in so enjoy the video of Meg proudly showing off her back bends cross overs, Zach showing off how much of a little brother he is, Elizabeth just showing off, and Chris showing off his one trick.

Hiking Greene Valley Forest Preserve

What a fun weekend! Saturday night was the big auction for Saint Cletus. Our family helped a bit with decorating in the morning then after singing at 5pm mass mom and dad got all dolled up for the big event while Meg and Zach headed over to Gene and Dales for a sleep over.

Saturday after rolling out of bed we decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and take a hike. Meg read through 60 Hikes with in 60 miles of Chicago and picked Greene Valley Forest Preserve. She was excited to see the Red Tailed Hawks that nest there.

The trail was long but fun the kids took some pictures and video. We saw a horse on the trail and a marsh full of really loud frogs (there had to be thousands).

Hiking Lyman Woods

Sunday we headed out early to enjoy the beautiful weather. We hit Oakbrook before it got to crowded and then ate lunch and hiked Lyman Woods in Downers Grove.

Off to the Zoo! The Movie

Back at the beginning of February we took advantage of a warm winter day to visit the zoo (check the pictures out here). It was a great time because the animals were so active.

We Meg and dad took some video that day and finally this weekend we got around to putting the video together. Dad trimmed down the clips and then Meg sat in the producers chair and made the. I think she did a great job.

Chicago Children's Museum

Saturday we took one of Meg's friends with us to the Chicago Children's Museum. The kids had a great time building a house and a skyscraper in the construction areas.

Waterpark Vaca

Last Thursday we took a mini-vaca to Lake Geneva, WI. We stayed at the TimberRidge Lodge with a group from St. Cletus which was fun. Friday we checked out downtown Lake Geneva. We ate lunch at a cute restaurant that overlooked the lake. We watched ice fishing, vans, 4-wheelers and bikes on the ice. It was pretty entertaining.
