Vacation Day 6

Vacation Day 6-17After breakfast we went back to the waterpark, hardly anyone was there which was nice.

After we got back to the cottage we took to catching crawfish. Meg and Chris did the catching, Elizabeth did the spotting. Zach was in charge of splashing as that's what he enjoys most.

That night was another beautiful sunset on Platte Lake.

Vacation Day 3

Vacation Day 3-RiversideMonday was a relaxing day. We spent most of the day at the cottage. For dessert we took Great-Grandma to get ice cream at Riverside. That night we watched the sunset on the beach by the Pointe Betsie Lighthouse. Meg and Zach each made artwork on the beach, the difference in the 2 pieces is pretty comical.

Bat Kids

Batman ZachIn honor of the opening weekend of Batman, here are some photos of our Bat Kids.

Actually, we went to toys r us today so Zach could use some of his birthday money. As we walked in the door Zach pulled me to the Batman display and declared that he wanted Batman wings so that's what we came home with. Then he and Meg dressed up and showed how they could fly in their bat capes.

Art Fair in the Rain

Meg painting rockSaturday we went up to Buffalo Grove to see some friends. Anna Marie is getting bigger, she was very social and happy. Will seemed a little shocked as Zach tried out all of his toys.

We braved the Buffalo Grove Art Fair even though it was raining. The kids had a good time painting rocks, a car, and having their faces painted. We walked around and saw the exhibits and then did lunch.

It was a fun day.
